The front-clip changes the point of leverage because the leash is attached to the front of the dog. If they pull the effect is that the leash gives a tug on their chest to the side, therefore turning the dog toward you and not allowing them to move forward. So if they pull, they get turned. And if they turn, they aren’t heading forward which is where they want to be going and why they are pulling.

Our Commander Harness can be machined washed but try hand washing first. If machine washing, please use only the 'gentle' cycle WITHOUT spin. Please do NOT use detergents or other solvents such as bleach or degreaser. Use ONLY mild soaps.

My 78lb german shepherd is adorable and I love him but- G-d forbid he gets spooked or sees someone he loves and my shoulder could be dislocated. He’s taken me down 3x, and always when I’m wearing white pants. Everything changed when I put this harness on him. The fact that the factory “settings” on the straps didn’t need any adjustment but a little tightening was super easy. The harness is super-easy to put on/off and Rocco doesn’t fight me either. I use the top ring for regular walking and the handle makes for good correction. The no-pull idea when you use the front ring works like a charm. He trots like a trained horse- no pulling. My shoulder remains intact and my white pants…. Well they’ve been saved. I love this product. Thank you so much. Life saver!!!

Our dog lunges and tries to fly. We were afraid she would injure her throat and looked for a harness. We bought this one after a lengthy search and have been pleased that we did. The dog still lunges and tries to fly but there is no danger to her throat. We have seen a decrease in the lunging and flying and are encouraged that these issues will be solved thanks to this harness. We can't praise it enough.

This harness was a game changer for leash walking. Using the front chest clip has made walking on a leash infinitely better. The handle at the top of the shoulders is great for control and assisting with unloading from car rides. Material has held up great.
