The front-clip changes the point of leverage because the leash is attached to the front of the dog. If they pull the effect is that the leash gives a tug on their chest to the side, therefore turning the dog toward you and not allowing them to move forward. So if they pull, they get turned. And if they turn, they aren’t heading forward which is where they want to be going and why they are pulling.

Our Commander Harness can be machined washed but try hand washing first. If machine washing, please use only the 'gentle' cycle WITHOUT spin. Please do NOT use detergents or other solvents such as bleach or degreaser. Use ONLY mild soaps.

I've bought dozens of harnesses over a lifetime and this is by far my favorite. Everyone thinks my dog is a service dog in this rig which is an added bonus if you take your dog everywhere like we do. Love this harness!!!

This harness was a game changer for leash walking. Using the front chest clip has made walking on a leash infinitely better. The handle at the top of the shoulders is great for control and assisting with unloading from car rides. Material has held up great.

These are very well made and last a long time. Materials and attaching are top notch. The elastic in the straps really helps a lot to dampen their tugs when they get excited by something and doesn’t pinch the neck like collars and some other harnesses do. The reflectiveness is also very effective.

They are so cute! These harnesses went on smoothly and the top handle is great for directing them back inside or outsidethe house. Offers great control for our walks.
