The easiest method of measuring the chest circumference of your dog is by using a flexible measuring tape placed directly behind the front legs at the broadest part of the chest. The tape should be fairly tight without actually restricting the dog. The correct harness size is determined by taking into account both the circumference of the chest and the neck. The front-clip changes the point of leverage because the leash is attached to the front of the dog. If they pull the effect is that the leash gives a tug on their chest to the side, therefore turning the dog toward you and not allowing them to move forward.

So if they pull, they get turned. And if they turn, they aren’t heading forward which is where they want to be going and why they are pulling.

First, you need to measure your dog and get the key measurements (Neck and Chest). Then you can compare it with the size chart we provided above in the product description

Our Pathfinder Harness can be machined washed but try hand washing first. If machine washing, please use only the 'gentle' cycle WITHOUT spin. Please do NOT use detergents or other solvents such as bleach or degreaser. Use ONLY mild soaps.

I love the sturdy build of this harness my dog is sort of between sizes medium and large leaning into large its a little lose on him but he seems comfortable and happy in the harness. He is also an all black dog so I love the blue harness on him and I got him some Velcro reflective patches. the loops to attach the leash are thick and very well attached as well as the handle on his back being this direction allows me a much better grip while we are training or ignoring other dogs

I love that this harness is easy to put on and take off. The four adjustable buckles make it simple to find the perfect fit. My dog loves it too
